Abstract

The impact on the mental health of health professionals in times of pandemic, were of extreme aggravation for mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, fear, post-traumatic stress disorder, and may lead to burnout syndrome. Directly affecting the care provided to their patients, in decision-making issues, providing humanized and integralized care of excellence. Health professionals face daily exhausting working conditions, long working hours, inadequate infrastructure, and risks to their own health. Strategies found as the psychological support and follow-up minimize this vulnerability. The contribution and fame in studies for mental health exposes its associated factors, which can work with the development of new strategies and interventions able to assist these professionals in reducing the pandemic's effects in the short, medium, and long terms.
