Abstract

Africa is considered to be the world’s second largest continent that hosts a lot of ethnicities, culture
diversities and as well as the oldest inhabited territory on earth according to most
paleoanthropologists. Rich in oil and natural resources, a continent that holds a strategic position but
yet poor and stagnant in development. The world's fastest-growing region for foreign direct investment
and containing approximately 30 percent of the earth's remaining mineral resources with poor
resource extraction history. In spite of all the wealthy resources in its possession, Africa is the world's
poorest continent. This book seeks to point out the reasons why most of the African countries are
poor.
