Abstract

Researches concerning the environmental and biological factors that contribute to marijuana use and
social anxiety have been examined in the literature. Correlations between marijuana use, social
anxiety symptoms, biological sex and age have been studied. This literature review investigated
relationships among these variables. Extraneous data including marital status, ethnicity, employment
status, state of residency, and socioeconomic status were also investigated.
