Abstract

In order to study the response of rice (Oryza sativa L. cv. Anber 33) to fertilization of diammonium phosphate (DAP) sources, and foliar spraying ofnano-fertilizers (silicon and complete) on some of its physiological and qualitative characters. The experiment, consisting of two factors, was designed according to the randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications for each treatment; it was implemented in one of the rice fields of Ghamas district/ Al-Diwaniyah Governorate/ Iraq in the summer season of 2019, with a total area of 435 m2. The first factor represented by DAP fertilizer source consisted of four treatments [control, Mineral-DAP (M-DAP), Organic-DAP (O-DAP + micronutrients) and O-DAP high K], while the second factor represented by nanofertilizers spraying consisted of four treatments (control, nano silicon, nano complete and nano silicon + nano complete). The experiment began in June/ 2019 and ended in January of the same year. Results showed:

O-DAP + micronutrients treatment was the significant superiority in recording the highest means of 1000 grains weight, grains content of N and Si while O-DAP high K treatment achieved the highest significant means of grains content of P, K, Fe, Zn, Mnand Cu.
Foliar spraying of nanofertilizers significantly reduced the lodging index while foliar spraying ofnano silicon fertilizer achieved the highest grains content of Si, as well as foliar spraying of nanofertilizer (silicon + complete) achieved the highest means of 1000 grains weight, grains content of N, P, K, Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu.
The interaction between O-DAP + micronutrients ofnanofertilizer (silicon + complete) achieved the highest means of 1000 grains weight, as well as achieving the lowest lodging index and highest grains content of Si compared with the interaction between O-DAP high K with nanofertilizer (silicon + complete) which achieved the significant superiority of most the other studied characters of rice plants.
