Abstract

This paper sought to examine the problems and challenges of Philosophy in Nigeria. Philosophy is an abstract discipline whose relevance is grossly contested in the world. In Nigeria, philosophy is misconceived as a fruitless academic venture without any practical utility. Nigerian philosophers are facing many problems and challenges in this 21st century. The work recommended that Nigerian philosophers should stand up to their responsibility and confront the challenges bedeviling their disciplines in order to solve the problems of Nigerian society.
